Professional Experience
A Professional, Actively Practising, Arguing Counsel with a rich, vast and varied experience of Practising and Specializing in Civil And Criminal Writ Petitions, Company Petitions, Arbitration proceedings, Original Suits and other Appellate Work at the Supreme Court and High Court of Delhi for the last more than 23 years.
Asutosh Lohia has represented the Government in various capacities at various times including (but not limited to) Add. Standing Counsel, NDMC; Special Counsel, MCD (and several other capacities) before the High Court of Delhi as well as Supreme Court of India – handling several sensitive and prestigious matters of Unauthorised Construction, Misuse, etc. He is also a Senior Arbitrator for the NSE & BSE, besides representing several established and reputed institutions and NGOs:
During his tenure as a Treasurer,
the DHCBA took a host of positive initiatives
- Renovation of Glass Canteen and installation of Air Conditioners
- Free parking facilities for not only members but for all the Lawyers
- Renovation of Consultation Room
- Organization of first ever DHCBA Cricket Tournament
- First of its kind e-library was established in Delhi High Court which encouraged many of our fellow Bars to follow suit..
- Initiative for digitalization and emailing facility of Cause List for all Lawyers
- Highest-ever savings of Funds by DHCBA in form of FD
